We are only 9 days from the wedding of Airiel & Jerome at Canoe Atlanta and if this is engagement session is any indication of how AMAZING the wedding will be, I am STOKED!

"Pizza." That's the word Cody decided to whisper to Alisha when I told him to say something sweet in her ear. Oh the laughs we had during this session :)
Erika and her fiancee John will be getting married this May at The Yancey House. My challenge for this shoot was utilizing the location as best I could without jeopardizing any of them for their wedding photos. I am not a fan of repeats! Erika is a strikingly beautiful women with a flair for dramatic expressions (Which I love!) and John is a shy guy that quickly turned silly once I got him to loosen up. We look forward to shooting their wedding.
Engagement sessions are such an important part of your experience with your wedding photographer. We include them complimentary with all of our wedding packages for just this reason. It allows us time to get to know each other a little better and get you familiar with our camera. I personally love taking you on a trip through time by discussing things like how you first met and who made the first move: ) Engagement photos are great for decorating the reception hall, slideshows, guest books and the popular signature framed 16x20. What will you use yours for? !
We love Florida! Absolutely everything about it the weather, The food, the people.....did I mention the weather?! Although we serve both Florida and Georgia alike we are seriously considering changing our home base from Atlanta to Orlando. I know we will definitely be spending a few weeks of our summer there doing portraits and hopefully a few weddings. Any who, Angel and Josh are our first Orlando couple of the year. Their wedding is quite a few months away (September to be exact) but we decided to use some of our time before wedding season to come meet them and shoot their engagement shoot. From the day that Angel contacted me I knew we were a perfect match. She's a bubbly second grade teacher that just loves to talk. The first thing she did when we met in person was hug me and call Marcus over from the fishing docks. I love that our customers can now get to know us through our website. That made this one of the greatest engagement shoots we have ever done. With creative ideas from both sides there was lots of laughter and some incredible pics. Joselyn is a woman who knows what she wants. I got the call on Wednesday and we were shooting at Lillian Webb Park in historic Norcross by Saturday. My favorite part of this particular park is the fountain. All couples seem to love a water aspect to their engagement photos and this tends to hit the spot. I cant wait to return during the summer when they turn on the sprinklers! We only explored the lower half of the park during this mini session but I think I managed to get everything we needed. They were very sweet and personable. We laughed and starved together (The smell of a nearby household barbecue caught us half way through and distracted my husband and the loving couple) I would definitely give this session an A++
Piedmont park is definitely one of my most requested locations for engagement shoots. There are so many areas to explore from the waterfront view to the many different ways you can see the city skyline. I personally have been there over 20 times because of just that. When Tori contacted me about her need for engagement pics and mentioned Piedmont I was way ahead of her with what we would do. I actually attended church with Tori here in Atlanta when we were teenagers and I knew the best thing I could do with these photos was show off her boisterous personality. Darius happens to be the perfect counterpart for her. Even with his sprained wrist he was cool, calm and collected no matter what I requested from them. In the end, I did get their dinner attire a little dirty for the sake of art but they say it was well worth it. I even got a card from the couple thanking me for capturing them is such a realistic light : )
After weekends of rain we FINALLY found an acceptable weekday to shoot Charles and Ralonda’s much needed fall engagement session. With their wedding only weeks away you could see the glittering anticipation and excitement in their eyes.
I had no idea the Chattahoochee River reached so far. I also had no idea when Elaine told me that she wanted to do her engagement shoot for her August 2014 wedding in her backyard that it would look anything like this! This couple loves the great outdoors and I had a great time hiking and getting to know them better. I can't wait to see what venue they choose !
